COMPANY OVERVIEW
Pacific Northwest Title Insurance Company is headquartered in Seattle, Washington and issues policies through a network of affiliated and independent title agencies. An autonomous title insurance company operating under the umbrella of First American Title Insurance Company, it offers a management philosophy of quick, localized decision-making backed by the financial strength of First American. Focused on the business of real estate closings, it understands the importance of meeting the needs of the local marketplace and the importance of each individual insured.
The Company was incorporated in Washington on December 1, 1926, as Commonwealth Title Insurance Company. It was purchased by Pacific Northwest Title Holding Company on March 31, 1993, and renamed Pacific Northwest Title Insurance Company. Pacific Northwest was licensed in Alaska and Oregon in 1997, Idaho in 1998, and Texas in 2005. On June 1, 2004, Pacific Northwest Title Holding Company was purchased by First American Corporation and then transferred to First American Title Insurance Company.
Pacific Northwest Title Insurance Company offers its agents and insureds the best of all possible worlds. As a separate-branded subsidiary of First American, it is able to provide personal attention, a quick response and service tailored to the needs of its customers, while accessing the many resources of one of the largest title insurance underwriters in the world.
